Cube began life in August 2002 when Danny and Emma Shiers took over what’s known today as Cube Buildings on Park Road. In January 2001 these were three empty, unused retail units in St. Annes square which were in serious need of a massive refurbishment. Previously known as ‘Nuttal’s Jackets’, Danny and Emma purchased the building from a member of the original Nuttal family.
The Goal
Their goal was to create one of the largest independent fashion stores in the north-west of England and over the next 18 months, over half of a million pounds was invested into the building refurbishment. Danny and Emma were destined to be in the fashion business, with Danny’s grandparents working as a tailor and a seamstress, along with Emma working in the business for over 25 years since the age of 16. Danny was handed down years of menswear experience when the couple bought out Franklyn Menswear, a St. Annes attraction for 20 years.

2022 is the big 20 years for Cube!
Saturday 20th August 2022, is a special day for Team Cube as it marked our 20th anniversary of Cube.
20 years is a long time to be in business and those 20 years have meant a lot of up, downs, success, and growth for us. Our team have battled through some tough times and celebrated some great times and our regular customer numbers continue to grow.
We want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to our team past & present and to all our amazing customers. You have allowed us to grow into the fashion enterprise that we are today. We feel privileged to stock the finest men’s and ladies wear, dressing our customers in only the best quality clothing for over 20 years.
We are delighted to be celebrating 20 years in business and we are looking forward to the future where we will continue to deliver exclusive brands to the people of St. Anne’s.
